Do I need a driving license to rent a scooter on Koh Samui?

Yes. Thai law requires a valid motorcycle license — either an International Driving Permit with a motorcycle category, or your home country license if it includes motorcycles. Renting without one can void your insurance and result in fines if stopped by police.

Is insurance included with the rental?

Accepted Answer

Basic government (compulsory) insurance is included. This covers a limited amount of third-party injury liability only. It does not cover damage to the rental vehicle or additional third-party liability.

Question 3

Do you deliver the scooter to my hotel?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we offer delivery and pickup from Bophut to Chaweng Beach (3-day minimum rental), Chaweng Noi (5-day minimum), and Maenam (7-day minimum). We do not deliver to Lamai or areas further south.

Question 4

Is a deposit required?

No deposit required. We do not ask for cash, a passport hold, or any other security deposit.

What happens if the scooter breaks down or I have an accident?

If you have an accident, please contact us immediately by WhatsApp. If the scooter breaks down, please contact us as soon as possible as well. All other details are covered in your rental contract.

Can I rent for just a few days, or only longer periods?

Accepted Answer

We offer flexible rentals from 3 to 21 days. We do not offer long-term rentals beyond this range.

Question 7

Is a helmet included, and is it required by law?

Accepted Answer

Helmets are legally required in Thailand for both driver and passenger, and yes, they are always included.

Which areas of Koh Samui do you serve?

Accepted Answer

Bophut, Chaweng, Chaweng Noi, and Maenam. We do not currently deliver to Lamai or areas further south.
